Charles McMillan
Professor of Strategic Management, Schulich School of Business, York University

Charles J. McMillan, Professor of Strategic Management, Schulich School of Business, is the author of nine books and monographs related to international business and global management, including the Japanese Industrial System, published in English, Japanese, Malaysian and Russian editions, and his new book on best practice management, The Strategic Challenge, published by Captus Press in Toronto. He is also the author of a new study on global trade and logistics, Embracing the Future: The Atlantic Gateway and Canada’s Trade Corridor, available from the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada.

Among his more than 80 technical articles and papers in such prestigious academic journals as McGill Law Review, Academy of Management Journal, Sociology, Cost and Management, The Business Quarterly, Organizational Studies, Canadian Public Policy, California Management Review, Policy Options, as well as in such publications as The New York Times, Nihon Keizai Shimbun, the Central Asia Post, Halifax Chronicle-Herald, The Globe and Mail, and The Toronto Star.

Active in Public Affairs, he has served as Senior Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister of Canada. He has consulted widely to governments, multinationals, and international organizations around the world.
